How Does The Cubicle Of A Real Professional Look Like?

Your cubicle may or may not look like that of a professional. If it doesn’t, you need to spend some time and energy or maybe a little amount of money. In this blog, you are going to learn about decorating office cubicle. One more thing, you need not buy new cubicle to make it look like a professional’s cubicle. Even used cubicles purchased from used office furniture liquidator can be decorated. First of all, why cubicle, why not a desk? A desk does not provide privacy and personalized working space in the office. A cubicle does.

A cluttered cubicle is not going to secure promotion for you. A clean and well organized cubicle can do it for you. Moreover, you spend at least 8 hours there, so it has to be clean, professional and livable. Here is how you can decorate your pre-owned cubicle.

  • Place a couple of colorful books and files on the cubicle but not too many. A couple of will look great.
  • Leather looks great if it is man’s cubicle. You can place a leather covered day planner or a notebook. However, do not add your leather wallet or anything else. Only a file, notepad, or day planner. A leather phone case also works.
  • Keep a picture of you and your wife or girl if you are not single. If you got kids, you can put up your family picture on the cubicle. Put up the picture you are most proud of.
  • Too many pictures never look great. Keep the family picture only. It keeps on motivating you when you have a bad day in the office. A picture in the leather frame looks great. Do not pin the picture on the cubicle wall.
  •  Comb, mouthwash, hair brush, or a hand sanitizer should not be in the cubicle. Better to keep these items in the drawer. Moreover, do not keep your medicines on the table.
  • Office supplies such as pen, pencils, pins, sticky pads and staplers should not be there in the cubicle. Keep these office supplies into the drawer. Keep frequently used office supplies in the upper drawer. The most frequently used supplies like a pen should be within your reach.
  • When you are not in your seat, don’t leave your glasses on the cubicle. Moreover, never keep your water bottle open. Log out and switch off the monitor.
  • Only computer, a pen holder, notepad, a tea/coffee cup and your family picture should be there in the cubicle. A desk calendar adds the real value.
  • Keep one or two books. If you are a java developer, keep one or two famous java books on the cubicle.
